I once received an old press board chest of drawers that I have used to keep socks and other small items in. I have always loathed the thing but I needed the space it provided me. This morning, I vowed to have that piece of junk looking spectacular before nightfall. Here is the piece, sans drawers, and a picture of the drawers. At some point in your life, you have more than likely owned something similar.
I removed the handles and spray painted them in the front yard, along with the dresser. The drawers were not a victim of the aerosol can.
I covered the fronts of the drawers with fabric, waited on everything to dry, and I had a brand new look for an old eyesore!
I was thrilled with the results, and it took far less time than my Rocker Revamp did. Let me know what you think of it!

LOVE THIS!!!! you did a great job!
I always admire people who can pick up what others think is junk and turn it into a work of art... that's gorgeous!
That is a total up-do, it turned out amazing. Have you thought about making some extra bucks selling your stuff on etsy? That kind of stuff does really well on there. Just a thought.. Keep up the great work.
I added you to my blog. :) Bren
Very cute!!! I love redoing furniture especially with modern paper or fabric. It really just livens up the piece, the room and my mood.
Oooh....me loves! I think we are kindred, crafty, cynical spirits!
WE'd love for you to link this up to our Saturday Spotlight party! nv-craftenvy.blogspot.com
Oh my goodness! I love this idea! You did a great job! I have a 4 drawer dresser in my son's room that needs help...and I might try this instead of just trying to repaint it all one color (of course, it would get a fun boy fabric).
This is a neat idea....loved the outcome.
I love that. Really !!!! I've got a piece of furniture that is staring at the back of my head even as I write this that's gonna get that "treatment" (insert evil laugh here). Thanks for the idea.
So awesome that you're able to take a hand-me-down and make it into somehting that you love.
That is a great idea!! i am looking for a new dressing for my DH and planned on re-doing it and this is agreat idea!
That is so awesome! I really like how it turned out! I just did a dresser redo last night, too! haha Hope to hear from you soon! Your project looks GREAT! :)
That turned out so amazing!!!
We recently revamped a 2nd hand nightstand for a daughter's room. Turned our great--but I never would have thought of using fabric. I'll have to remember that for next time!

Not my taste - but pretty impressive makeover - you seem very good at this!

This looks amazing, I love the fabric that you chose for the drawer fronts. My Mom used to refurbish furniture for our house when I was girl. I tried it myself a few years ago with a set of dining room chairs. It's so satisfactory to do something like this for yourself.

This is such a great idea! I have the perfect dresser that could use this type of makeover!
How did you keep the fabric on? Did you glue/mod podge or staple it?
That's one of the best dresser transformations I've ever seen! I have a similar dresser, but I don't think my husband would let me touch it ... :(
Looks amazing ! Nice work !
