I swung by a new thrift store in town on my break today and found this wreath, which, I will go ahead and say, is hideous! But, if you will notice, it is made of straw, and it was only a buck and a quarter!
I stripped the faded ribbon and the pastel flowers off and added my autumn touch. Ribbon and a few dollar store floral pieces gave this ring of hay new life, and now all I need is for the fall weather to greet me at my door!
Wreath: $1.25
Ribbon: $1.00
Floral Pieces: $3.00
Total Cost: $5.25
Similar Wreath at Craft Store: $29.99

You need that famous tagline at the end:
"Warm glow of Autumn Greetings...PRICELESS"...haha!
I am so ready for fall! This wreath is really cute and makes me want to get my crafty stuff out and make one! Thanks for sharing.
That looks much better. And I've always liked the colors of fall. It's so grounded but pretty.

I love what you did with that wreath! Stunning!
I love the changes you made! It looks a bazillion times better!
By the way - Your grab button looks great! So glad my tutorial helped. :)
I am ready for Fall! I wish I could look at something not so nice and vision it nicer. I think it's a gift that I just don't have. :(
I WISH, I WISH, I WISH, I WISH I was creative like this!! That is so cute and so not expensive! My sister has the knack for picking things up at garage sales or thrift stores for pennies then creating these wonderful decorations out of them! I WANT THIS CAPABILITY - it really is an ART, which I lack. GREAT JOB!
Found you on blog frog!
You make crafting look so easy, I will have to try this.
You have such a great eye. Can't believe you made that transformation in your head upon sighting.
cool...
Very cool!
Omg, you worked wonders with that thing. I wish I was that creative. Thanks for sharing.
Have a great weekend!
Stripping for parts -- my mom does that very well too. She'll grab bad artwork to get a beautiful frame and turn it into a mirror, etc.
I would love to have your creativity! I am not crafty at all....but I still love visiting your blog to see what YOU have done!
I hopped over from Craft Envy's linkee:) AHHsome job! I'm your newest follower.
